The Center For Facial Pain

The Center For Facial Pain is a specialty practice located in Scarborough, Maine, which is dedicated solely to the diagnosis and treatment of Orofacial Pain and Temporomandibular (jaw muscle and jaw joint) Disorders.  Established in 1984, it was one of the first specialty practices in the country devoted entirely to the medical management of TM Disorders.  The Center focuses on conservative, evidence-based diagnostic and treatment principles.

The Center For Facial Pain offers the latest and complete diagnostic and treatment capabilities for a wide range of non-dental orofacial pain conditions, including vascular pain, neuralgias, as well a muscle and joint pain.

Treatment capabilities include medications, physical therapy, appliances, behavior modification, therapeutic injections, etc.  Although surgery is rarely indicated, we work closely with the finest, most experienced surgeons in the North East to provide the best, most comprehensive care for our patients.
